Shipping tag suggestion

Should we make a standardized list of ship names for this community? The fandom isn't the most consistent with this sort of thing. If we do, do you guys want to go the more creative route or stick to namesmashing ("creative" being like boyf riends, pinkberry, expensive headphones)?

One suggestion would be just list everyone involved in the ship in alphabetical order (e.g. the meremine ship would become christinejeremymichael). Doesn't look too nice, but it's easy to induce how to tag something and deduce what to search for in order to find what you want.

EDIT: I got the message "You are not allowed to create new tags for this journal; the entry was not tagged with bmc: suggestion".  Is this a permissions thing the moderator can change?

Hello! I was unaware that this was a default setting when making a community here, but apparently the default is that only admins can create new tags. I've gone into settings and changed this so that anyone can create and use tags on the page, so hopefully this will not be an issue anymore. Thank you for letting me know, and please let me know if there is still an issue :)

As for ship names I do agree that a combination of the character's names would be more comprehensive. I suggest we wait for more users to join the community and see what everyone else thinks too, but I do think it's a good idea, thank you!

Hm...I'm of two minds on this. I like creative names (or when people have really romantic names/phrases for ships like ex: OTP: till the end of the line) but the long name does make it clear who's in the ship and everything. Plus, some of the ship names for BMC can be pretty...ugh imo.

This would only be for tag organizing though right?
